MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–The wait is nearly over. In eleven more days, the Moncks Corner Applebee’s will officially open back up for business.
“It’s getting close! We’re starting to wrap up construction. Your favorite Applebee’s should be open in a few weeks,” read a post on the restaurant’s official Facebook page.
The restaurant will re-open to the public on June 9th after being closed for approximately four months.
The Moncks Corner Applebee’s shut down in late-February after a fire damaged the inside during non-business hours.
The Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department, Whitesville Rural Fire Department and Moncks Corner Fire Department quickly responded to the scene.
According to firefighters on scene, the fire started in the trash can located inside the manager’s office.
With the opening of the restaurant less than two weeks away, the restaurant is currently hiring for all positions for its grand re-opening.
“We are currently looking for fun and energetic people that want to be part of this wonderful event. We are hiring: servers, bartenders, host/hostesses, car side specialist, cooks and hourly managers,” Applebee’s officials stated.
