GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–In just three days, Walmart Neighborhood Market will open its doors to the public.
The new store will be located at 1635 Redbank Road in Goose Creek.
“We are ready for you, Goose Creek, Hanahan, and surrounding neighbors. Let us be YOUR neighborhood market!” read a post on the store’s official Facebook page.
The new store will employ approximately 100 people.
According to Walmart.com, the neighborhood market format offers quick and convenient shopping, with a full grocery department, including organic and natural selections.
To celebrate the grand opening Wednesday, former USC Gamecocks and San Francisco 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore will be on hand for the occasion, signing autographs and taking pictures.
The store is the first of four Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets to go up in the area.
On June 24th, one will also open to the public on St. James Avenue.
That store is located just a few blocks down from the Super Walmart Center on the same road.
The Walmart Neighborhood Markets are a chain of grocery stores that launched in 1998. There are now more than 300 stores all over the United States.
