Berkeley County Schools’ Summer Feeding Program Announced

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County School District’s Summer Feeding Program, which serves free hot meals to children 18 years of age and younger, will be offered from Monday, June 8, 2015, through Friday, August 7, 2015.

The program helps ensure that children in Berkeley County have access to healthy meals throughout the year.

Mondays through Fridays, eight schools in Berkeley County will provide hot breakfasts and lunches.

Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.

School sites are listed below:

  • J.K. Gourdin Elementary School
  • St. Stephen Elementary School
  • Berkeley Middle School
  • Boulder Bluff Elementary School
  • Westview Primary School
  • Hanahan High School
  • Goose Creek Primary School
  • H.E. Bonner Elementary School

There are approximately 65 other sites throughout Berkeley County that will provide lunches to children. To locate a community or church site near you or for serving times, please call 1-866-348-6479 for English and 1-877-842-6273 for Spanish.
