BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On Sunday at 1:30 a.m. 18-year-old Keith Graham, Jr. of Summerville, was shot in an elevator at a hotel on Holiday Drive in Summerville, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
The teen was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
“Our investigation found that he was at a party and a fight broke out.
He was trying to leave when he was shot,” stated Salisbury.
The coroner added that an autopsy will be conducted Monday and more information will then be released.
The shooting is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Summerville Police Department.
SPD has confirmed that at least one person has been taken into custody.
