BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Back to school time is not just for kids!! It’s also a time for adults who did not finish high school to think about getting a GED and a ‘WorkKeys’ certificate.
“Students take as long as needed to achieve their goal. The GED typically takes longer than a ‘WorkKeys’ certificate, but there is not a set time limit,” stated Nell Phillips with Trident Literacy Association. “‘WorkKeys’ certificates provides a summary report of proven workplace skills for use with job applications and/or resumes.”
Trident Literacy Association, located in the Trident United Way Prosperity Center at 325 E. Main Street in Moncks Corner, helps students achieve their educational goals by providing one-on-one instruction and self paced instruction to adults at any age.
The agency provides individual and small-group classes to help students succeed, too.
New student enrollment begins Monday, August 31.
Please call to make an appointment at 761-6033.
Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The fee is $5 per month.
Classes are FREE for students receiving SNAP funds. The minimum age is 17.
Orientation is the first full week of each month.
