GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The City of Goose Creek’s Casey Center is hosting beginner piano lessons for all ages beginning in September.
Courses are taught in semi-private formats, with students learning in a group setting. The comprehensive courses teach theory, composition, ear training, sight reading, technique and more.
Two 6-week sessions for ages 5 to 6 are being offered on Tuesdays, Sept. 15 – Nov. 3, from 5 to 5:30 p.m. or 6 to 6:30 p.m.; and on Saturdays, Sept. 26 – Nov. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Cost for the six-week sessions is $54 for residents of Goose Creek, and $59 for non-residents.
Three 6-week sessions are being offered for ages 7 to 12: Mondays, Sept. 14 – Nov. 2, with 30-minute classes beginning at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.; Tuesdays, Sept. 15 – Nov. 3, from 6:30 to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, Sept. 26 to Nov. 14, from 12 to 12:30 p.m.
Finally, two 6-week courses are being offered to teen and adult beginners: Mondays, Sept. 13 – Nov. 2, from 7 to 7:30 p.m.; and Tuesdays, Sept. 15 to Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Cost per 6-week session is $84 for residents, $89 for non-residents.
Private lessons are also available for $75 for three 30-minute sessions.
