BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Chief Deputy Mike Cochran, early Sunday morning deputies from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call involving a male subject who had been shot at least one time.The shooting took place at 512 McCrystal Circle in Moncks Corner, Cochran confirmed.
After the shooting incident, Cochran stated that medics responded and transported the victim to Trident Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing; however, Cochran says no further details are being released at this time.
The coroner will release the name of the victim pending notification of the next-of-kin.
As more details are known, Cochran says the sheriff’s office will release additional information.
