Berkeley County Weather Forecast, Road Closures for Monday

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the National Weather Service, a portion of southeast South Carolina, including Berkeley County, remains under a flash flood watch until 5 p.m.

The NWS reports that flooded areas will be slow to recede into the afternoon despite the end of heavier showers and isolated thunderstorms. However, any additional light and moderate showers that develop will only exacerbate areas that remain flooded.

Additional rainfall amounts are expected to remain below 1/4 inch through Monday afternoon.

In addition, developing guys winds will increase the risk for down trees and power lines.
