Goose Creek Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Patrick Lynn Fournier Of Goose Creek on ten charges connected to sexual exploitation of minors.

The Goose Creek Police Department, a member of the state’s ICAC Task Force, made the arrest following a referral from ICAC Task Force investigators with the Attorney General’s Office.

The City of Charleston Police Department, also a member of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted in the investigation.

Investigators state Fournier was involved in the sharing of child pornography via file-sharing networks.  A search warrant was served and he was arrested on Monday.

He is charged with ten counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor second degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to ten  years imprisonment for each count.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
