Berkeley Co. Deputies Request Help Locating 88-Year-Old Woman Possibly Showing Signs of Dementia

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Verna Winston Elliott, an 88-year-old African-American woman.

Elliott was last scene at her residence located on Jocelyns Lane in the Bonneau area of Berkeley County on September 13th.

Deputies say she was wearing a white shirt and a floral print skirt.

She was reported missing on October 1st. Authorities say Elliott may be driving a white 1993 Volvo 940 with South Carolina registration 107225W. There may be a wheelchair on a carrier affixed to the rear of the vehicle.

Elliott may be showing early signs of dementia, authorities stated.

Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis is asking anyone who may have information regarding Elliott’s whereabouts to call your local law enforcement agency or the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at 843-719-4412.
