BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—An encounter with a young man at a recent Halloween party turned violent for one teen, according to deputies. Now the suspect is jail and charged with sex assault.
According to an incident report, the alleged victim, who is 18-years-old, met a man by the name of Coutrney Greene, 35, while attending a party in Berkeley County.
Several days later on November 2nd, the teen reportedly allowed Greene to pick her up at her house where he then drove her to his house.
Deputies say that once at Greene’s house, he attempted to have sex with the teen, however, she fought him off.
During the attack, the victim is said to have told deputies that Greene reportedly stabbed her with a small knife in the right forearm as well as hit in the head, causing here to become unconscious.
Greene is said to have then driven the teen back home. Her mother rushed her to Trident Hospital where her daughter received more than 35 stitches on her face and right forearm.
Deputies arrested Greene shortly after the incident. He is charged with sexual assault with the intent to commit criminal sexual assault third degree.
He is being held without bond.
