According to Berkeley County Deputy Coroner Darnell Hartwell, the accident happened at 6:38 a.m. on Thursday.
Hartwell identified the victim as 58-year-old Terry E. Walther from Moncks Corner. He was pronounced dead at 7:18 a.m.
The deputy coroner stated that Walther was operating a motorcycle when the accident occurred.
Hartwell did not specify what caused the accident, however, he did say the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
