BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A GoFundMe account was recently established for a Berkeley County deputy seriously injured while on patrol.
Onย the morning of November 3rd, Deputy Cameron Babson was injured when heย was struck by a car on the driver’s side of his patrol car.
According to friends and family, heย broke his pelvis, ย ankle and wrist. ย His pelvis reportedly has multiple fractures that were unknown when he was first brought into the hospital. He has a long road to recovery.
Along with serving as a deputy, Babson also has a second job doing security for local events.
His family relies solely on his income because his wife Ashley suffers from sarcoidosis, a disease that she has had for a long time, making her unable to work.
“Ashley and Cameron have a small son, Joshua, who is five, and he is their entire world,” stated Jennifer Bivens West who created the GoFundMe account. ย “Ashley stays at home and takes care of

him, despite her disease. The money that is donated will be very appreciated.”
Family are hoping to raise $10,000 to help with medical costs.
