MACEDONIA, S.C.–Around 5 p.m. on Sunday, firefighters responded to a wreck along Highway 17A and Bethera Road.
When they arrived, firefighters found the driver had been ejected from his Corvette.
First responders say the accident happened after the driver ran off the road.
The car reportedly landed approximately 100 yards from the roadway and took out three trees.
Fortunately, first responders say the driver was conscience and transported to a nearby hospital.
The wreck, however, totaled his car. Crews say he was the only person inside the vehicle, and luckily no other cars or 
trucks were involved.
The official cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
