GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, on Saturday, Dec. 19th at 11:45 p.m., Verbus A. Taylor, 63, of Goose Creek was crossing Red Bank Road near Goose Creek High School when he was struck by a north bound car.
Taylor was on a handicap scooter, and he was pronounced dead on the scene by Salisbury.
The death was ruled accidental and the cause of death was blunt force body trauma, Salisbury stated.
The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The driver of the car was not injured.
