BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On Tuesday night, firefighters and members of the community will come together to remember one of their own.
On December 28, 2014 Randy Fallaw lost his life in a traffic accident in the Upstate. He was only 38-years-old.
“For many people grieving the loss of a loved one, the holidays are a very difficult time,” stated Kelly Gaskins, a friend. “Randy’s death has not only affected his family and friends, but also his community and fellow firefighters.”
For five years, Randy served as a volunteer firefighter for the Caromi Fire Department in Ladson and had been promoted to engineer. He was also an active volunteer with Toys For Tots and Pet Helpers.
To honor his memory, his firefighter brothers at Caromi Fire Department in Ladson, will be walking from the fire station at 554 College Park Rd to Randy’s home located at 101 Memphis Court in Ladson (that is now owned by his niece).
“The firefighters will walk in solidarity as they honor Randy and remember him this Christmas season,” stated Gaskins. “He had a big heart, loved helping others and made friends wherever he went. Those who knew Randy will never forget his lively personality. He was a man who lived life to the fullest and would do anything for his friends—or stranger for that matter.”
