BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are currently working an accident along I-26E near mile marker 192.
According to Trooper Hannah Wimberly, a portion of the interstate is closed to traffic after an accident involving a tractor trailer that overturned. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.
Shortly after the crash, troopers detoured traffic at Exit 187 to Highway 78.
At this time, one lane is currently open to traffic at mile marker 192.
Wimberly says drivers can expect traffic delays.
Troopers are also warning drivers of another accident involving an 18-wheeler in Charleston County that occurred shortly after the one in Berkeley County.
At this time, Wimberly says I-26E near the 212C ramp to I-526 is currently closed to traffic due to an overturned semi.
Troopers are presently standing by for a tow truck.
No injuries have been reported.
