BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A second arrest has been made relating to the January 4th, daytime, residential burglary on Sanctuary Park Drive in the Cane Bay subdivision.
Traevon Jamal Doctor was arrested previously on this case and charged with Attempted Murder, Burglary in the 1st Degree, Possession of a weapon during a violent crime and Possession of a Stolen Handgun.
Several days ago, a homeowner told deputies that Doctor shot at him after he caught him fleeing from his house.
Deputies responding to the call located a spent shell casing from a .45 caliber pistol in the back yard of Doctor’s residence, which is located two houses from the burglary location.
Doctor attended a bond hearing at the Hill Finklea Detention Center on the morning of 01/07/2016 where he was denied bond.
During the investigation of the burglary and related crimes, it was determined that Aleigh Daille Short purposefully interfered with the investigation by providing Doctor with a false alibi as to his whereabouts when the burglary took place.
The false alibi delayed the investigation and subsequent apprehension of Traevon Jalam Doctor.
Short has been charged with Misprision of a Felony and is being held at the Hill Finklea Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
