The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest.

Investigators say that Rossi communicated via social media with a person he believed to be a minor. He sent naked photos of himself and arranged to meet for a sexual encounter.

Rossi was arrested on January 14, 2016 and charged with one (1) count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor (§16-15-342), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment; one (1) count of Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (§16-3-655), a felony offense punishable by up to twenty (20) years imprisonment and Sex Offender Registry status; and six (6) counts of Attempted Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Person Under Age 18 (§16-3-345), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count.

Bond was set at $70,000.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
