GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The City of Goose Creek needs input from residents of Boulder Bluff and the surrounding area.

The City is planning the renovation and complete redevelopment of 48 acres of public park land across the street from Boulder Bluff Elementary School.  The property is bordered by Amy Drive, Judy Drive and Anita Drive, and it includes the existing Dennis Park.

The questions for area residents: What type of park should go there? What kinds of additional amenities, if any, should be offered? What functions would you like to see the park serve?

Residents are invited to share their views at an input meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Municipal Center, in the Goose Creek Police Department Training Room. In addition to City officials, representatives from LandPlan Group South professional planning will be on hand to provide information about redevelopment options.

The City recently acquired 21 of the property’s 48 acres from the Berkeley County School District. The mutually beneficial project between the City and school district calls for a redevelopment of the property within five years.  A master plan for the park must be approved by the BCSD.
