BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Dorchester County Coroner Alice Durr, a Moncks Corner teen died from blunt force trauma received in a car accident on Highway 78 on Wednesday afternoon.
The teen has been identified as 17-year-old Carliegh Langston.
Durr stated that the teen was a passenger in a Plymouth minivan that was traveling east on Highway 78 in Dorchester County near Tiger Lane when the van went left of the center lane and struck another vehicle.
Langston was rushed to Trident Medical Center where she later died as a result of her injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, Durr said.
