BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Chief Deputy Coroner George Oliver, the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office was notified on June 9th, at 10:35 p.m. of a death at Trident Hospital.
Jamie Miller, 18, of Ladson, was walking on Farmington Road near Slate Stone Drive and was struck by a pick-up truck, Oliver stated.
She was transported to Trident and pronounced dead at 10:34 p.m.
Her death has been ruled accidental by Chief Deputy Coroner George Oliver.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Coroner’s Office investigated the accident.
