Deputies: Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery Of 7.1 Pounds Of Marijuana

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, on June 15th, 2016 members of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation.

The stop resulted in the arrest of Roger Cameron, 52, of Ladson for possession of 7.1 pounds (3,204 grams) of a green plant-like material which field tested presumptive for marijuana, authorities stated.

“I am very pleased to see that the deputies are able make cases that involve drugs of this quantity. Working together, we are making a difference here in Berkeley County,” Sheriff Lewis stated.

Cameron was booked into the Berkeley County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.
