The demonstration of support, the kind gestures, and the acts of goodwill from the residents of Goose Creek toward the Goose Creek Police Department over the past month have been nothing short of astounding. I have not seen the likes of it in my 37 years in police work.

Your heartfelt response to the series of national stories involving police – some of which have painted police generally in negative light, and some that have involved the assassination of our fellow officers – have let us know that you are there for us. We deeply appreciate this.
