GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–One person is behind bars following a standoff inside the First National Bank at 106 Thomason Blvd. in Goose Creek.
Law enforcement responded to the bank shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday after reports of an alarm going off, authorities stated.
When Goose Creek police and Berkeley County deputies arrived on the scene, they say they saw a man run back into the bank which was about to open for business in 15 minutes.
Police surrounded the perimeter, entered the bank and eventually arrested the unarmed man, they reported.
At this time, authorities have not released the individual’s name or said what he was doing in the bank in the first place.
