BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–One person inside a house in Goose Creek received minor injures after a car fleeing law enforcement crashed into the residence.

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, officials say members of the Berkeley Narcotics Drug Enforcement Unit were on patrol in the area of Howe Hall Road in unincorporated Goose Creek when they saw an Acura sedan commit a traffic violation.

The detectives attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle, a white Acura sedan, chose not to stop but sped away, according to deputies.

Authorities say detectives did not chase since the vehicle since it was considerably faster and showed no signs of stopping.

Deputies say the vehicle made several quick turns and then then went down Old Back River Road where detectives lost sight of the vehicle.

Not long after, deputies say the Acura missed a turn and crashed into a home on Princeton Road. They then said the driver fled on foot.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of approximately 1/2 a pound of marijuana, officials say.

A description of the vehicle is not currently available.  Anyone with information about the driver of this vehicle should contact Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry at 843-554-1111.
