Goose Creek Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of James Baxley, 49, of Goose Creek on one charge connected to sexual exploitation of minors.

The Goose Creek Police Department, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force made the arrest.

Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office assisted with the investigation.

 

Investigators stated that Baxley was involved in distributing child pornography via a file sharing network.   

 

Baxley is charged with one count Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Second Degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.

 

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.

 

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
