SUMMERVILLE, S.C.–The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office released the identity of the teen shot and killed Friday night outside a Summerville hotel.

On Nov. 18th around 11 p.m.,  the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office was notified of a death at the Econo Lodge on 110 Holiday Drive off of North Main Street.

“We responded and found 19-year-old Khaalis Kindu Jackson had been shot twice and was pronounced dead on the scene,” stated Coroner Salisbury.

The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Berkeley County Coroner and Summerville Police Department.

Authorities say a female was also shot during the incident. She was transported to Trident Hospital in stable condition.

According to police, they are not looking for any suspects.
