BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Rescue Squad and several other first responders extricated a man from a dump truck after it crashed in Huger early Monday morning.
Berkeley County Rescue Squad Chief Bill Salisbury stated that the man’s injuries, fortunately, were not life-threatening.
He was transported to a nearby hospital.
The accident occurred on Highway 41 near Jenny’s Farm Lane shortly after 7 a.m.
The crash reportedly happened when a tire blew out causing the driver to slam into several trees.
Officials say the driver was trapped inside the truck for about an hour and a half until help arrived on scene.
