BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A worker was transported to the hospital in serious condition after a fall near the new Volvo plant, emergency officials stated.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m.
The worker has been identified as a construction subcontractor.
“The individual is reported to be in stable condition at this time. A thorough investigation of the incident is underway,” stated Stephanie Mangini, a Volvo spokesperson.
Authorities say the worker was transported to Trident Hospital.
