MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Santee Cooper submitted today a petition to intervene in Public Service Commission proceeding 2017-370-E, concerning the proposed merger between SCANA Corp. and Dominion Energy and SCANA’s abandonment of the V.C. Summer Units 2 and 3 project.

Santee Cooper owns 45 percent of the V.C. Summer project. A PSC ruling on the SCANA proceeding may affect interests of Santee Cooper and its customers, and Santee Cooper is intervening as a step to protect those interests.

At this point, with the incomplete record before the Commission, Santee Cooper has not determined the positions it may take in the proceedings.
