BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–One Berkeley County man is counting his blessings following a scary accident that occurred while at work recently.
On Friday, March 22nd shortly after 2 p.m., the Whitesville Fire Department and Berkeley County EMS were dispatched to an unresponsive patient, according to first responders.
On arrival, they say they discovered that a construction worker had been electrocuted and was in cardiac arrest.
Swift action on the part of coworkers who started CPR prior to the arrival of first responders and lifesaving efforts by members of Berkeley County EMS and the Whitesville Fire Department ultimately saved the patient’s life.
Nine days after the incident, The Whitesville Fire Department received a message from the patient’s family stating that they wanted to stop by and meet the ones who saved their son.
