Man Wanted for D.C. Murder Could be in South Carolina

The U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force is seeking the public’s help in locating Marcus Antwain Whitaker, who is charged with second-degree murder in connection with a D.C. homicide on July 27, 2018.

Authorities say the victim was shot multiple times in the 4300 block of 4th Street, SE, Washington.

Authorities believe Whitaker may have fled D.C. after the crime, and could be in a number of states to include New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He also may have cut his hair to disguise his real identity.

Whitaker is a 5-foot-11 black male. He weighs 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by the U.S. Marshals for information leading directly to his apprehension. The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is offering up to $25,000.
