Police Respond to 2 Shooting Victims at Goose Creek Wendy’s

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Authorities say they are trying to figure out what led up to a shootout that started at one location and ended at a restaurant.

Goose Creek Police responded to Wendy’s on Redbank Road Wednesday night in reference to two people who had been shot, according to Captain Tom Hill with GCPD.

During the investigation Captain Hill said it was determined that the shooting occurred in the jurisdiction of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

“The Sheriff’s Office will be handling the crime scene and subsequent investigation,” Hill said.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, a shootout started at a residence on Old Back River Road before moving to the Circle K on Redbank Road and ending at the Wendy’s.

The two people shot have been transported to Trident Hospital. Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office tells Live 5 News that they currently have two people detained and are trying to determine their exact involvement in the shooting.
