BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C – A Berkeley County murder suspect has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and the North Charleston Police Department recently. He’s accused of killing another man in Berkeley County.
Johntay Omar Weathers was arrested by members on an outstanding arrest warrant held by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Weathers, the Berkeley County murder suspect, was wanted for shooting and killing Xavier Moultrie on July 28, 2019, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Weathers is currently being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing that is scheduled for November 23, 2019.
Berkeley County detectives say they are continuing their investigation into the case.
