Goose Creek Police: Man Stabbed During Hotel Armed Robbery

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – A man is recovering from his injuries after being stabbed at a hotel during an early morning armed robbery, according to the Goose Creek Police Department.

On Wednesday around 5 a.m., police responded to the Quality Inn at 103 Redbank Rd. in reference to a reported armed robbery. After arriving on the scene, officers said they found a 29-year-old victim who had been stabbed during an altercation.

According to police, the victim told them that he went to the hotel to assist a friend and was attacked when he got to the hotel. The suspect stabbed him twice in the leg during the altercation and took his vehicle keys. 

Officers said the suspect then departed the scene, stealing the victim’s vehicle.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The case is still actively under investigation.
