Moncks Corner Man Missing In Sumter County

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – A Moncks Corner man has disappeared in Sumter County, and now deputies are asking the public’s help in locating him.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Michael McKelvey, 36, of Moncks Corner was last seen on Jan. 2 on Cherryvale Drive in Sumter.

McKelvey is described as a black man with brown eyes and black hair. He weighs approximately 125 pounds and stands 5’7″.

Deputies said he was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, a black coat with red trim, red sneakers and a black skull cap. He does not have a vehicle.

Anyone who knows of McKelvey’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 803-436-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
