MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Berkeley Chamber of Commerce invites the public to its annual event which will dissect the region’s economic forecast. The event will take place virtually Friday, Feb. 5 at 9 a.m.

This year, the chamber’s economic forecast, presented by Nucor Steel Berkeley, will take a close look at how the pandemic will influence national and regional economic trends in the coming year.

The program will feature special guest speakers Dr. Bruce Yandle, consultant, writer and speaker and Frank A. Rainwater, chief economist.

“Our leadership team here at Nucor looks forward to this Economic Forecast presentation with Frank and Dr. Yandle every year. Their insight into the current state of the economy, as well as the way their two presentations mesh together is both informative and entertaining,” said Chris Stow, maintenance & engineering manager.

According to the chamber, with so much uncertainty still looming, understanding our region’s potential to emerge from the shadow of 2020 into a more prosperous 2021, is critical to understanding our region’s long-term economic future.

This program will offer a glimpse into the future and provide guests with the knowledge necessary for making innovative business decisions.
