HANAHAN, S.C. – If you noticed a heavy police presence in the Dominion Hills area of Yeamans Hall Road, it was due to Charleston County deputies pursuing a vehicle into the city on Monday afternoon, according to Hanahan police.

When the pursuit ended, police said several people inside the vehicle fled.

Out of precaution, school resource officers were instructed to lockdown Hanahan Middle School and Hanahan High School while officers searched for the suspects, according to the police department.

The suspects were eventually caught and the lockdown was lifted, Hanahan police said.

Captain Roger Antonio with CCSO told News 2 that the suspects were four teens who fled from deputies in a stolen vehicle. When they bailed out of the vehicle, two guns were located at the scene.
