MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – This year’s Shuckin’ in the Park Oyster Roast at Old Santee Canal Park has been canceled due to ongoing concerns related to the spread of COVID-19.
According to Santee Cooper, the park remains open for guests to enjoy, although under suspended operations. Park grounds and trails are open, but all buildings, facilities and picnic shelters remain closed until further notice. The park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is waived until normal operations resume.
Visitors are encouraged to participate in Santee Cooper’s many virtual programs for visitors of all ages, as well as its in-person guided nature walks every Friday in February. Visitors are encouraged to check the Old Santee Canal Park website and social media for details.
