MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – A Moncks Corner school resource officer is out of a job and now under investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
According to the Moncks Corner Police Department, Zedrick M. Smalls lost his job as an officer with the department after inappropriate communication with a student was reported.
No other details were provided.
The Berkeley County School District website lists Smalls as a school resource officer assigned to Berkeley High School.
The case has been turned over to SLED, Moncks Corner police said Wednesday.
