MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – This year’s Shuckin’ in the Park Oyster Roast at Old Santee Canal Park has been canceled due to continued COVID-19 concerns, Santee Cooper announced Monday.
“We look forward to the return of Shuckin’ in the Park in March 2023,” Santee Cooper posted on its website.
This is the third time the event has been canceled since the pandemic began two years ago.
In 2020, Santee Cooper canceled the 21st annual Shuckin’ in the Park Oyster Roast and issued ticket refunds. The event hasn’t been held since.
The park remains open for guests to enjoy from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
