BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – To celebrate its 50th year in business, one popular restaurant chain known for its Louisiana-style chicken is selling it for 59 cents – but for a limited time only.

Popeyesย is offering a throwback deal on its famous fried chicken. From June 12 to June 19, customers can snag two pieces of the restaurant’s signature bone-in chicken for under a buck.

There are two Popeyes restaurants in Berkeley County:

  • 460 N U.S. Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
  • 135 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445

To get the discounted chicken deal, customers need to first make a $5 minimum mobile order on either the Popeyes app or Popeyes.com.

In 1972, Alvin C. Copeland Sr. opened โ€œChicken on the Runโ€ in the New Orleans suburb of Arabi, serving traditional Southern-fried chicken.
