ST. STEPHEN, S.C. – Residents in St. Stephen have a new place to get a freshly brewed “cup of Joe.” Lowcountry Coffee Company officially opened its doors for business Saturday morning.
Mayor John Rivers helped kick off the shop’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. According to the owner, the community’s support has been much appreciated.
“We are truly blessed to be a part of an amazing community of people and other businesses! It felt like the entire 29479 zip code and surrounding areas came through our shop,” the owner posted to Facebook.
“This is just the beginning and another spark to continue to build St. Stephen into a once again thriving small town!! It takes a village to build/rebuild anything and our town and our shop is no different!” he continued. “So many people from friends and family to our government officials have been a great support and we want to continue to encourage other people to open small businesses. Together we are stronger.”
In addition to serving hot and iced coffee, the shop offers 16 flavors of Hershey’s ice cream for anyone in the mood for a sweet treat. Customers can place orders inside the shop or at the drive-thru.
