BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Cypress Gardens is excited to host its first Swedish Midsummer Festival on Saturday, June 24, sponsored by Volvo Cars. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park, located at 3030 Cypress Gardens Road in Moncks Corner.
Midsummer is a Swedish holiday marking the summer solstice with family and friends celebrating countryside.
The festival will feature a traditional Swedish maypole, flower crown making, food trucks, music, kids’ activities, and more. Volvo Cars will also have representatives available to discuss hiring opportunities and allow those interested to apply onsite.
The Swedish Midsummer Festival also correlates with Free Saturday for Berkeley County residents. Proof of residency with photo ID, utility, or tax bill is required for free admission.
