BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office confirmed a man recently died following an ATV accident involving a deer.
Coroner Darnell Hartwell said his office was contacted Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 2:37 a.m. by a local hospital in reference to a victim who was a passenger on an ATV that struck a deer on Lebanon Road in Ridgeville the previous day.
The victim, Thomas C. Henderson, was pronounced deceased on June 14th, 2023, from the injuries sustained in that accident, the coroner said.

Henderson was 25 years old and from Beaufort.
Lebanon Fire Department, Berkeley County EMS, South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
