Learn How To Plant Fall Vegetables At Goose Creek Library

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County Library System will co-host Gardening in the South:  Planting Fall Vegetables with Christopher Burtt, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, for Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties, on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023 from 1 – 2 p.m.  

“Though summer is still here, the time to plant your fall vegetables is fast approaching.  We will discuss what to plant for the fall and when, as well as troubleshoot various common issues associated with the season,” said Christopher Burtt, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent.

The event will take place at Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Rd. in Goose Creek. Guest may register at berkeleylibrarysc.libcal.com/event/10864228.  Registration opens at 1 p.m. on July 27.

Burtt, who is a Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, will discuss planting fall vegetables. 

He has worked with Clemson University for over five years with previous experience in nursery and landscaping.  He coordinates the Tri-County Master Gardener program and assists homeowners and nurseries with technical support.
