Berkeley County Woman Arrested After Calling In Bomb Threat To Hospital: BCSO

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County deputies recently arrested a woman after they said she threatened to blow up a local hospital.

Shannon Denise Webb, 24, of St. Stephen was booked into the Hill Finklea Detention Center following the threat.

On July 25, deputies said they received a phone call from Trident Medical Center’s emergency room in reference to Webb making threats to use a bomb to blow up the hospital.

Trident then requested a welfare check on Webb, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to Webbโ€™s home and made contact with her.

Webb admitted to deputies she made the threat because she was upset about being forced to move out of her uncleโ€™s residence, deputies said.

Webb was first transported to a hospital for a mental evaluation and then transported to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center to be served warrants. A judge set Webb’s bail at $20,000.
