BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A man wanted in connection with a home invasion in the Andrews area is behind bars following a traffic stop in Berkeley County, authorities announced.
Georgetown County Sheriff Carter Weaver said 49-year-old Kendrick Lamar “Tuff” Alston, of Mazyck Hill Lane, was identified as the suspect who entered a home on Ten Acre Road with a gun and made threats and demands.

Alston was apprehended during a coordinated traffic stop in Berkeley County and will be transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center. He faces pending charges of kidnapping and first-degree burglary.
