The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office pauses participation but eyes a possible fall return.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is stepping away from REELZ’s hit law enforcement show On Patrol: Live, announcing a logistics break to give deputies a well-deserved chance to decompress and reset.

The department confirmed its final live broadcast aired over the weekend, signaling a temporary departure from the reality series that has given viewers a behind-the-scenes look at modern policing.

“We remain committed to transparency and building trust with our community,” said Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis. “Being part of On Patrol: Live has helped us show the reality of modern law enforcement, and we look forward to future opportunities to share our mission with the public.”

While the sheriff’s office is pressing pause, they hinted at a possible return in the fall, thanking supporters for their encouragement both on and off the screen.
